The Five Reiki Principles
Mikao Usui founded Usui Reiki while performing Isyu Guo, a twenty-one day Buddhist training course, at the top of Mount Kurama in Kyoto.
During the process of developing his Reiki system, Sensei Usui summarised some of Emperor Meiji's literary works into a set of ethical principles, which later became known as the Five Reiki Precepts.

- Just for today I will let go of worry
- Just for today I will let go of anger
- Just for today I will love and respect all life forms
- Just for today I will accept my many blessings
- Just for today I will live my life honestly
